The workshop used the ESP's priorities to identify potential projects that the ESP could explore. The prioritised projects are outlined below:
Around building strong communities, the workshop discussed a project to bring together a cross section of the public/private and voluntary sectors to bring together a strong volunteering infrastructure. Examples - Aldeburgh ‘Agnes' / Parish Councils (SALC).
To ensure people have the skills to meet employment opportunities, a transfer of skills and knowledge from those of retirement age to those ‘hard to reach people' was proposed. This project is now being explored by Age UK.
For sustainable activities linked to the environment, the group felt that tourism promotion and development, alongside a prolonged tourism season, was important for increased revenue and year-round employment.
